Electron Multiplier - RGAs
Our most economical multipliers for analog
applications.
They can be integrated into mounting
structures and miniaturized, making them ideal for applications requiring very
low baseline noise.
Detectors are bespoke, custom designs to be
optimized for every system. Please contact our experts to design electron multipliers based on your instrument requirements

Operating a new detector at maximum voltage may result in
damage to the detector

Initial Operating Voltage (new)
approximately
1100 V for
gain of 1e3 (new multiplier)
approximately 1400 V for gain of 1e4 (new multiplier)
Noise Specification @ Gain ~ 1E6
Design Validation: 3 cts/min with 24hr vacuum soak @ 5E-6 Torr
The design is validated through the Product Development cycle to meet the tight noise specifications normally associated with ETP detectors.Maximum Dark counts @ End-Of-Life Voltage: -HV @ -2000 V.
Production Testing: 500 cts/min @ 5E-6 Torr immediately after pumpdown
With reliable and consistent production processes ETP detectors will meet the Design criteria with an extended pumpdown. This is not practical for Production Testing, so an equivalent Production Testing Noise Maximum Dark counts @ End-Of-Life Voltage immediately after pumpdown is -HV @ -2000 V
